DESCRIPTION:Oswestry Folk and Acoustic club is a friendly\, welcoming club who welcomes anyone who wants to sing\, play or recite a poem.Musicians / singers perform minimum 2 songs\, tunes\, poems. We have a guest alternate months. Admission is free but we take donations and run a raffle to pay for future guests. During a break in the evening we serve sandwiches and sausage rolls. It is a cash only pub.

Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (melodeon\, anglo concertina\, vocals)\, George Sansome (guitar\, vocals) and Lewis Wood (violin\, vocals) have honed their skills touring the UK and Europe since 2009. They are much loved by audiences up and down the country\, with bookings everywhere from Cambridge Folk Festival to Cecil Sharp House.The trio have been heralded for their lively performances and skilled delivery of traditional material\, playing with verve\, energy and their own inimitable style. Though grounded in tradition\, they are keen to push new boundaries by exploring fresh approaches and writing their own compositions.

SUMMARY:Severn Folk Club - April 2026 (Folk Club Launch)
DESCRIPTION:The launch night of Severn Folk\, Shrewsbury’s new monthly Folk club\, will feature floor performances from local Folk musicians\, music from the Severn Folk resident band and will honour the original Shrewsbury Folk Club\, with a few performances\, memories and stories from some of the original members. Everyone is welcome\, whether you’ve enjoyed listening to Folk your entire life or are only just discovering it. \n  \nTickets are £3 at the door. Membership cards\, £5 a year\, will also be available and give a discount off all Severn Folk events (including guest nights) in the year\, so well worth doing for those who plan on coming regularly. The Reabrook Social Club is a lovely space with a bar and plenty of parking. \n  \nDoors open at 6:30pm\, music starts at 7pm. No open floor spots will be available this month\, sorry!
