DESCRIPTION:Oswestry Folk and Acoustic club is a friendly\, welcoming club who welcomes anyone who wants to sing\, play or recite a poem.Musicians / singers perform minimum 2 songs\, tunes\, poems. We have a guest alternate months. Admission is free but we take donations and run a raffle to pay for future guests. During a break in the evening we serve sandwiches and sausage rolls. DESCRIPTION:Lights Out Events are delighted to be hosting The Apple Sellers \nThe Apple Sellers are a contemporary folk duo from Manchester that blend elements of modern classical and traditional folk and spiritual music to create captivating musical performances. It is a unique approach that has seen them gain standing ovations at both folk festivals and classical music events. \nThe duo consists of the acclaimed musician and storyteller Martin Purdy\, frontman of the award-winning folk trio Harp & a Monkey\, and gifted multi-instrumentalist Ian Mayer (#halfblindbassist) from Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. \nThe pair\, who first met in (and continue to meet in) a community orchard\, bonded over a shared passion for the power of musical storytelling. The result is an evocative sound underpinned by piano\, double bass\, harmonium\, shruti box drones and strong harmony vocals.

DESCRIPTION:A night of floor performers\, anyone who would like to perform please let us know when you arrive and we will try to accommodate you. Everyone is welcome and gets a 2-song/tune set. If there is time\, we will go around the room again for anyone who would like to perform another set. \n  \nAs well as music\, there will be poetry\, news\, monologues and general Folky fun! There will also be a raffle to help raise funds\, so if you have something you could contribute for the prizes\, please bring it. \n  \nTickets are £3 at the door. The Reabrook Club is a lovely space with a bar\, plenty of parking and is on ground level\, so is accessible.
