Bridgnorth Folk

Bridgnorth Folk is a long-established singaround group of singers, musicians and listeners largely from the town and its surroundings. It meets in the Garden Bar of Bridgnorth Club, which is in a cruck building dating back to the fourteenth century. Currently almost all those attending the sessions date from the twentieth, which gives us a depth of musical coverage; but it is a shame younger people don’t come and share their stuff. That said, the coverage is wide with a definition of ‘folk’ taking us from traditional and self-penned ballads and instrumentals to items chosen from the repertoires of more recent singer-songwriters.

We are acoustic only and meet from 7pm on the first, third and fifth Tuesday every month all year round. There is no admission fee and we have our own room and bar.

We welcome all visitors who want to share with us, or simply listen.
