Play traditional tunes in the company of a friendly and enthusiastic group of aspiring fiddle players.

There’ll be plenty of practical tips to help you improve your fiddle technique, but the emphasis will be on developing confident, musical playing whilst enjoying the unique sound of a folk fiddle ensemble. Tunes and some simple harmony parts will be sent out in advance so that you can learn the basic melody by ear or from the dots. The workshop is open to anyone who is happy to play beginner-friendly tunes at a steady pace.

Level – post-beginner / improvers.
Fee: £75 including lunch (fee will be reduced if numbers allow)
