Dan Walsh
Dan Walsh is a banjo player, singer and guitarist known for his unique and dazzling take on clawhammer style banjo. He has been described as ‘one of the banjo’s true innovators’ while combining ‘virtuoso playing with winning songwriting’. He is rooted in Irish and American folk music but with nods to many other sources including jazz, funk, pop and even Indian music.
He has toured the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe and has a string of critically acclaimed solo albums to his credit. He is also widely known as one quarter of the award winning Urban Folk Quartet. He is also an in-demand session musician and has played on stage or in the studio with the likes of Darius Rucker, Ward Thomas, Imelda May, Joss Stone, Seth Lakeman and the Levellers.
